After Conversion to Hindiusm, Former Shia Waqf Board Chairman Wasim Rizvi Changes Caste Now.

Former Shia Waqf Board chairman Wasim Rizvi, who came into the limelight when he renounced Islam and converted to Hinduism in 2021, has now changed his caste.

After his conversion, Rizvi, who was named Jitendra Narayan Tyagi, has now changed his name to Thakur Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar. Rizvi joined the Brahmin community after his conversion to Hinduism. He has now taken the surname ‘Thakur’.

Wasim Rizvi alias Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar said he has an old friendship with Gurukula Kangri University professor Prabhat Singh Sengar who had proposed to include him in his family, which he has accepted. Prabhat Sengar’s mother Yashwant Kumari Sengar has adopted him as her son through a legal affidavit, owing to which he has been able to keep this surname. However, he clarified that he will not have any right to the property.

It should be noted that Rizvi was expelled from Islam after he converted to Hinduism. Fatwas were also issued against him. There was a lot of upheaval in his family as well, following which his mother and brother severed all ties with him.

Rizvi had also filed a petition in the Supreme Court against 26 verses of the Quran. He had claimed that those particular verses promote terrorism and hence should be removed from the religious text. This drew his community’s wrath and the Muslim clerics expelled him from Islam for his “objectionable comments” against the religion.

Earlier, after his conversion ceremony, Rizvi had said: “Being Hindu is a lifestyle. Anyone can change his religion easily by legal means but it is not possible to become completely Hindu by going to the temple. For this, a complete process has to be adopted.”

“From today onwards, I will only work for Hindutva,” he had added and claimed that none of the other religions had so many qualities as Hinduism. “Muslims do not vote for any political party, they vote against Hinduism and to defeat Hindus,” he had said.

He had also expressed his desire to get cremated after his death as per the Hindu religion. Rizvi had also said that he wanted his pyre to be lit by Yati Narsimhananda. Rizvi said he is afraid that after his demise, people will not allow the burial of his body.
